Electronic prescription maps contain information about the rate of application with GPS-binding. Special equipment monitors the rate of application, spraying, or sowing while the implement is moving across the field.
Such prescriptions can be created on the basis of different source data. For example:
- yield information for previous years,
- agrochemical soil analysis data or soil scan maps,
- relief and slope maps,
- satellite vegetation maps.
To ensure accurate fertilization, sowing, or spraying in accordance with the fieldwork plans, the machinery should strictly perform the tasks loaded to the monitors. The implements equipped with control systems apply preset rates automatically and therefore minimize the influence of the human factor.
